Musculoskeletal Physiotherapists are trained and skilled to perform an assessment on your health concerns, provide a diagnosis, and then give appropriate treatment care options. In the case of persisting and worsening pain, you will be referred to the medical team for further investigation. We partner with Singapore's leading orthopaedic and pain specialists to expedite patient recovery.

How long does a physiotherapy appointment last?

Depending on the complexity of your condition, initial sessions typically take 45 to 60 minutes. On your first visit, a thorough examination of your condition will be undertaken.  A detailed explanation as to the cause of your condition will follow this examination, including its implications and recovery expectations.

Subsequent follow up sessions are usually held for 30 minutes but may be extended depending on the severity and complexity of the conditions experienced by each patient. For example, a patient suffering from more than one injury or condition may benefit from an extended treatment time (60minutes). Please inform our patient care representative when making an appointment so that we may more accurately advise the treatment duration that best address your needs.

How many treatments will I need?

What is the difference between a Physiotherapist, a Chiropractor and an Osteopath?

There are similarities in all three allied health professionals when treating musculoskeletal pain conditions. The techniques we use can be similar, but have differences as well.

Physiotherapy uses evidenced based assessments and treatment options such as joint and soft tissue, nerve mobilizations and manipulation, as well as exercise therapy to help you be on the mend from most musculoskeletal pain disorders. Physiotherapy focuses on patient empowerment for the long term through awareness, education and positive dispositions.
