Do I need to make an appointment? How do I make one?

​

Physiotherapy sessions are available on appointment basis only. Please WhatsApp us at (65) 8051 2112 to schedule an appointment.  We are committed to getting you better; if you are experiencing acute pain and/or an urgent clinical need for emergency physiotherapy treatment, please indicate your condition/needs to us when scheduling for an appointment.

 

If you need to change or cancel your appointment, kindly reach out with 2 days advance notice.

 

Please arrive at least 10 mins before your appointment time for registration.  Patients who are late for appointments would be seen at the clinic's discretion and may be required to reschedule.

We deliver personalized physio care plans that effectively relieves pain, restores strength and enhances mobility while preventing further injuries. The sooner you begin your therapy post injury, the sooner is your recovery.

Do I need a doctor's referral for physiotherapy?

​

No, a medical referral is not required to visit a physiotherapist if you are self-paying. However, to facilitate insurance claims or reimbursements for your sessions from your health care provider or your employer, you may be required to furnish a doctor’s referral for physiotherapy. It is recommended that you verify the criteria for claims with your insurer or employer.

Do I need to see doctor prior to physiotherapy for a diagnosis and prescription of physiotherapy treatments?

​

You do not need a doctor’s referral to see a physiotherapist in Singapore. It may however be required to facilitate insurance claims or reimbursements for your sessions from your health care provider or your employer,

 

Musculoskeletal Physiotherapists are trained and skilled to perform an assessment on your health concerns, provide a diagnosis, and then give appropriate treatment care options. In the case of persisting and worsening pain, you will be referred to the medical team for further investigation. We partner with Singapore's leading orthopaedic and pain specialists to expedite patient recovery.

How long does a physiotherapy appointment last?

​

Depending on the complexity of your condition, initial sessions typically take 45 to 60 minutes. On your first visit, a thorough examination of your condition will be undertaken.  A detailed explanation as to the cause of your condition will follow this examination, including its implications and recovery expectations.

 

Subsequent follow up sessions are usually held for 30 minutes but may be extended depending on the severity and complexity of the conditions experienced by each patient. For example, a patient suffering from more than one injury or condition may benefit from an extended treatment time (60minutes). Please inform our patient care representative when making an appointment so that we may more accurately advise the treatment duration that best address your needs.

How many treatments will I need?

We aim to deliver the swiftest recovery route. As part of your treatment plan, we will discuss with you about your condition, it’s severity, healing stages, recovery barriers, and provide you with an approximate number of visits needed to get you back to full health.

Do you offer home therapy?

​

Yes, home physiotherapy sessions can be arranged for patients facing mobility issues, such as patients experiencing conditions that involve difficulties associated with movement because of disability, trauma or illness, such as learning how to walk again after a stroke. Home based physiotherapy sessions are however subject to availability. Additional charges apply for home therapy.

Fees & Billing Arrangements

​

Fees are payable on the day of consultation. A receipt will be issued to you on the day of treatment which you may utilize for insurance claim purposes. The clinic accepts cash, Amex, Mastercard, Visa, Alipay, WeChat Pay & international cards. The clinic also provides direct billing to certain insurance companies. Please check with our patient care representatives, your healthcare service provider, or your employer, as applicable, for eligibility . If you require our help to fill out an insurance claim form, please bring it along on the day of your appointment and we can assist you.

How do I prepare and what can I expect at my first appointment?

​

Please bring along relevant medical records and laboratory test results from your doctors or the hospital(s), including X-rays, MRI’s and any other lab results. 

​

For physio assessments and treatments, it will be helpful to be in appropriate attire such as shorts (for hip & knee conditions) and singlet (back, neck & shoulder conditions)

What is the difference between a Physiotherapist, a Chiropractor and an Osteopath?

There are similarities in all three allied health professionals when treating musculoskeletal pain conditions. The techniques we use can be similar, but have differences as well.

 

Physiotherapy uses evidenced based assessments and treatment options such as joint and soft tissue, nerve mobilizations and manipulation, as well as exercise therapy to help you be on the mend from most musculoskeletal pain disorders. Physiotherapy focuses on patient empowerment for the long term through awareness, education and positive dispositions.
